What does that mean?
JupiterDuo was chosen in 1996 as my first persona online. At the
time I
was taking Latin, and Jupiter was
the King of the Gods (for the Romans, the Greek Equivalent is Zeus). At
the time, Jupiter was already in use as a screenname on AOL, so, as is
popular, I appended a number onto it. Duo is Latin for the number
2. At this time I am not considering legal action against Intel for
their introduction of the Core
2 Duo line of processors in July 2006.
IGotRoot2600 was chosen as the sucessor to several various
JupiterDuo screennames in August 2007. This refers to the concept of
the root user on a UNIX or
UNIX-like system, or one who has total administrative control over all
users, processes, and files on the system. 2600 is the name of a
magazine for Hackers, and
is generally accepted as a symbol of hacker culture. There is a long
story behind what the 2600 number means, see the link (2600) earlier in
this paragraph to read more about it. At this time, I do not have
any unauthorized root privileges anywhere.
